Dr. Joyce Liy, DVM was born in Tapachula, Chiapas, grew up in Houston, Texas, and attended New Mexico State University where she earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Studies. She then attended veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical rotations at Louisiana State University in 2018.
Passionate about promoting optimal health in pets with holistic therapies in addition to traditional veterinary medicine, Dr. Liy joined the Pet Health team in 2021 where she looks forward to working with pet parents to offer their pets a new, more complete approach to wellness.
In addition to her DVM, Dr. Liy is certified in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) acupuncture and is also currently pursuing her certification in herbal medicine and food therapy.
Outside the office, Dr. Liy enjoys cheering on Real Madrid in soccer, and she spends her time off traveling to any location with a beach. She and her husband, Angel, enjoy taking breaks, swimming, hiking, and camping with their three dogs: a dachshund named Louie and two Dobermans named Nia and Bender.
