Massage

Massage – Clinical studies in humans demonstrate massage can provide substantial relief from postoperative pain and anxiety. At Pet Health, our goal is to move past the old veterinary mindset of relying solely on surgery, drugs, or a wait-and-see approach. Using scientific and evidence-based information, we use veterinary massage to increase the comfort and reduce recovery time for pet patients after surgery, as well as for those suffering from acute or chronic disease. Massage has been clinically proven to reduce pain, inflammation, and blood pressure; restore normal breathing, and return normal digestion and mobility in pets who accept touch and palpation. At Pet Health, we incorporate massage into many of our postoperative pet patients’ treatment plans. We also teach our pet parents several low-risk maneuvers appropriate for their pet’s condition to encourage recovery and improve comfort.
